At REPERTORIUM, we’re developing a professional suite of tools to address the unique challenges of working with orchestral and acoustic recordings. We are working to commercialise these solutions as Sonart — groundbreaking methods for stem separation and sound field reconstruction. These tools enable the recording and then reconstruction of an acoustic hologram, inside which users can manipulate and virtually walk around the sound sources.
They include a groundbreaking app that lets students mute individual instruments from a Spotify or Apple Music track and play along in real time, revolutionizing at-home practice. They include denoising, debleeding, and instrument isolation solutions allowing DIY musicians to obtain studio-level results in their home recording setups. They include the most advanced stem separation solutions yet, functioning on the exceedingly complex soundscape of the symphony orchestra. And they include upmixing capabilities for transforming mono sources into full 3D, navigable (6DoF) surround sound.
There is much potential, but to ensure we’re building tools that truly serve the music community, we’ve launched a set of short surveys tailored to different musical roles. Your input will help us to tailor the tools and business models to your needs. Your feedback also helps demonstrate interest in seeing these products come to life, something essential for us to raise the necessary capital to do so.
