Bringing Classical Music to the Metaverse
- Immersive sound processing tools that reconstruct the sound field according to the user’s virtual position within an acoustic hologram. These will provide a sound experience similar to that offered in the cinema with technologies such as Dolby Atmos but in a version that allows for complete freedom of movement.
- Hybrid AI/algorithmic-based solutions will decrease the equipment needed to record and stream 3D audio, allowing it to be captured with a minimally expensive microphone array
- The immersive streaming technology will be tested in two symphonic concerts during which the audience will be able to "move" freely through the virtual hall by listening through a mobile app built with Sinfon.io. Users will also be able to “solo” instruments to hear them in isolation or “mute” instruments to generate minus-one recordings (like “karaoke”), but embedded in the original acoustic.
Immersive streaming will boost live and catalogue recording streaming revenues for the music business. The core technologies will drastically reduce the cost for orchestras and record labels to offer 3D audio.
The technology will be first implemented in Sinfon.io and tested with a live orchestra concert. Sinfon.io is a white-label native mobile app turnkey solution for cultural institutions. It is an ODRATEK product managed through a subsidiary, vist.co kulturmanagement.
